Ottawa Redblacks and Calgary Stampeders face critical matchup

The Ottawa Redblacks and Calgary Stampeders face a critical matchup this Saturday night. The Redblacks, currently at 0-12, are looking to break a modern-era CFL record of 18 consecutive losses. McLeod Bethel-Thompson is set to make his first start of the season for Ottawa following a recent relief appearance against Toronto.

The Calgary Stampeders (5-8) also enter the game under pressure. Currently fifth in the West Division, Calgary is four points behind the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and B.C. Lions. A victory is essential for Calgary to maintain its playoff contention, as the team aims to finish third in the West or secure a wildcard spot by outperforming the East Division's third-place team.
