Ottawa Senators place Linus Ullmark on injured reserve

The Ottawa Senators have placed goaltender Linus Ullmark on injured reserve following a lower-body strain sustained during a 5-1 victory over the Florida Panthers. The injury occurred in the third period of Wednesday’s game after Ullmark made a pad save.

Ullmark, who entered the injury with a 1.33 goals-against average and a .945 save percentage, is expected to miss at least one week. Samuel Ersson provided relief during the game, stopping the single shot he faced.

To address the vacancy, the Senators have recalled goaltender Jonas Johansson from the Belleville Senators in the American Hockey League.
