OTTOCAST launches CarPlay Clip wireless adapter with built-in display

OTTOCAST has launched the ‘CarPlay Clip’, a wireless adapter designed to convert wired Apple CarPlay systems into wireless ones. The device is notable for being the world’s first wireless CarPlay adapter to feature a built-in small circular display.

Designed for vehicles with factory-installed wired CarPlay (typically models from 2016 onwards), the adapter installs easily via an air vent. Once paired via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, the device automatically reconnects upon subsequent entries into the vehicle. It supports full CarPlay functionality, including navigation (Google Maps, Apple Maps, NAVITIME), music streaming (Spotify, Amazon Music, LINE MUSIC), and communication tools like Siri and LINE messages.

The integrated display can be customized through the ‘OttoPilot’ app, allowing users to show the time, album art during music playback, or personal photos. The product is priced at 9,999 yen, with promotional discounts available on Amazon.
