Ottocast expands wireless CarPlay and Android Auto adapter availability

Ottocast is expanding its presence in international markets with new plug-and-play devices designed to upgrade existing vehicle infotainment systems to wireless connectivity.

In Japan, the company is offering a limited-time 40% discount on the OTTOCAST MINI via Amazon. This compact adapter allows users to convert wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connections into wireless ones. Once paired, the device automatically connects to the smartphone upon engine ignition, supporting original vehicle controls such as steering wheel buttons and touchscreens.

In Italy, Ottocast has launched the U2Air Edge and Play2Video X. The U2Air Edge functions as a wireless adapter featuring dual-band Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.4, and FOTA updates. It includes a physical button to switch between two saved smartphones, making it suitable for shared vehicles. Additionally, it provides access to AI assistants like ChatGPT and Gemini through the existing interface. The Play2Video X is designed for stationary use, allowing users to stream content directly to the vehicle's onboard screen during stops.
