Desigual and Ottolinger launch collaborative fashion capsule

Desigual and the Berlin-based independent label Ottolinger have launched a collaborative capsule collection titled ‘Desigual designed by Ottolinger’. The project is rooted in a reconstruction process where designers Christa Bösch and Cosima Gadient utilized Desigual’s archives and deadstock materials to create new, avant-garde pieces.

To develop the collection, the designers explored Desigual’s Barcelona archives, selecting garments based on their distinctive colors, prints, and textures. Because many original analog patterns were no longer available, Ottolinger digitally recreated them by scanning fragments of vintage clothing. The resulting aesthetic features patchwork, exposed zippers, and deconstructed silhouettes, including a highly limited maxi dress constructed from eight pairs of repurposed trousers.

The collaboration bridges Desigual’s historical roots in Ibiza-inspired club culture with Ottolinger’s experimental design language. The collection emphasizes a limited production model driven by the artisanal nature of the reconstruction process.
