OUIGO introduces armrest separator to improve passenger comfort
The rail subsidiary OUIGO has introduced a new accessory called ‘L’accoudoir pour deux’ (The Armrest for Two) to resolve passenger disputes over shared central armrests. The small device attaches to existing equipment without tools, creating a clear physical boundary between two individual spaces.
To promote the product, the company launched a humorous video campaign on August 24, developed by the agency Rosa Paris. Rather than traditional retail, the limited-edition accessory is being distributed exclusively through social media contests to drive brand engagement.
This initiative is part of a broader modernization program. Since the beginning of 2025, OUIGO has been progressively integrating new train sets with redesigned interiors aimed at improving passenger comfort and optimizing luggage space. The company plans to continue reconfiguring its fleet over several years.
