Ouija horror films see renewed interest on Netflix

The Ouija-themed horror genre is seeing a resurgence in visibility following the arrival of related titles on Netflix.

Breaking Glass Pictures has released the independent horror film ‘Ouija Hell House’, which follows a single mother and her daughters who encounter a sinister presence after discovering an old Ouija board in a secluded farmhouse.

Additionally, the prequel ‘Ouija: Origin of Evil’, directed by Mike Flanagan, has also gained renewed attention on Netflix. While critics have noted flaws in the script and character development, the film has been recognized for its technical direction and retro aesthetic set in 1965.
