Oulu police release records on infant abuse and domestic violence case

Police investigation records have been released regarding a violent incident in Oulu involving a 32-year-old man and a two-week-old infant. The incident occurred in February when a dispute between the man and the infant's mother escalated into physical violence.

According to the records, the mother reported that the man became agitated during a disagreement over feeding the baby. She stated that the man struck her in the face and continued to assault her, prompting her to flee the apartment and seek help from neighbors.

A neighbor reported witnessing the man holding the infant by the armpits before throwing the baby onto a concrete floor. The neighbor rescued the child and took them to safety. The suspect, who reportedly made statements regarding the infant, died during the early stages of the investigation.
