Oura launches hormonal birth‑control tracking and menopause insights
Oura has added two new women's‑health features to its platform. The Hormonal Birth Control support expands Cycle Insights to log more than 20 contraceptive methods—including pills, patches, IUDs and implants—and tracks temperature, sleep, recovery and bleeding patterns, allowing users to see how hormonal contraception influences their biometric baselines. The Menopause Insights feature introduces a research‑backed Menopause Impact Scale questionnaire to assess sleep, mood, cognition and daily functioning, providing a personalized dashboard, symptom trend analysis and the option to share results with clinicians.
In the United States the update integrates with Twentyeight Health, enabling users to connect with a nationwide network of licensed clinicians for virtual visits, contraceptive counseling, prescriptions and home delivery. Oura is also partnering with platforms such as Maven and Progyny to embed biometric data into broader women’s‑health care plans. The new features begin rolling out globally on May 6.
