Oura Ring 5 launches in US and Japan with slimmer design
Oura Health has released the Oura Ring 5, its slimmest and reportedly the world’s smallest smart ring, featuring a 40 % reduction in size compared with the previous model. The new ring adds a Health Radar suite for early cardiovascular and respiratory risk signals, GLP‑1 medication insights, and expanded live activity tracking. It also includes a dedicated charging case with up to one month of battery life and a device‑locate function.
In the United States, the Oura Ring 5 is now available through Best Buy stores and online, with dedicated displays for customers to try the ring. In Japan, sales began on 5 June 2026 via the Oura online store and major retailers such as Amazon, Yahoo! Shopping, Rakuten, and electronics chains. Prices start at ¥65,800 for silver and black models and ¥81,800 for gold, stealth, brushed silver, and deep‑rose variants. A subscription for data services costs ¥999 per month or ¥11,800 per year.
