Oura Ring 5 officially launches in Mexico

The Oura Ring 5 has officially launched in Mexico, becoming one of the first regional markets in Latin America to access the device through major retail platforms. Available as of August 12 via Liverpool, Amazon MX, and Mercado Libre, the smart ring is priced starting at 8,499 pesos for Black and Silver finishes, with premium versions reaching 10,499 pesos.

The fifth-generation device features a significantly more compact design, boasting 40% less volume than the Oura Ring 4. Despite the reduction in size—measuring approximately 6.09 mm in width and 2.28 mm in thickness—the ring maintains comprehensive health monitoring capabilities, including heart rate, heart rate variability, body temperature, blood oxygen, activity, sleep, stress, cardiovascular, and metabolic health.

To achieve this smaller form factor, Oura redesigned its internal mechanical, electrical, and optical architecture. This includes a sensor redesign that utilizes two high-power light emitters to provide consistent readings across various skin tones and finger types. The device remains compatible with both iOS and Android, as well as third-party applications like Strava.
