Ourense driving schools hold provincial festival and safety debate

The Provincial Association of Driving School Entrepreneurs of Ourense held its annual provincial festival, bringing together industry professionals and institutional representatives for a day of training and recognition.

The event included a vehicle exhibition in Ourense's Praza Maior and a technical session at the Ourense Business Confederation (CEO). During the session, David Llorente Rey, the provincial head of Traffic in Ourense, discussed recent regulatory changes regarding the protection of vulnerable road users that took effect on October 1.

Luis Menor, president of the Deputación de Ourense, praised the sector for its efficiency, noting that Ourense does not face the same driving license waiting lists found in other regions. Luis Novoa Fernández, president of the driving school association, emphasized the need for continuous adaptation to legislative and technological changes. The celebration concluded with a formal reception and a tribute to retired professionals in the field.
