Ourense hosts folklore festivals and youth summer camps
Ourense is hosting several cultural and community events this summer. The 39th Urban Camp “Ourense 2026,” organized by the Asociación Juvenil Amencer in collaboration with the local council and provincial government, held its “Province Day.” Participants traveled to various municipalities, including Toén, Esgos, Maceda, Castrelo de Miño, Ribadavia, A Peroxa, and A Merca, to engage in local activities and strengthen regional ties.
Simultaneously, the 41st edition of the Folklore Days has commenced. Organized by the Diputación de Ourense, the festival features dance groups from Armenia, Ecuador, Mexico, Senegal, Serbia, and Taiwan. The event aims to promote multicultural coexistence and peace through traditional performances, with scheduled stops in locations such as Bande, A Rúa, Ourense, and Ribadavia.
