Ourense PP criticizes government over O Barco bypass delays

The People's Party (PP) in Ourense has criticized the Spanish government for failing to provide a definitive completion date for the O Barco bypass road. The project, which connects the N-120 and N-536 highways between Sobradelo and O Barco de Valdeorras, has faced delays since construction began in September 2019 with an initial 36-month timeline.

In a parliamentary response, the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility stated that 69% of the works are currently underway but did not offer a specific end date. The PP has requested further details regarding certified costs, the status of modifications, and the progress of specific structures such as viaducts over the Cigüeño and Sil rivers.
