Ourense to invest 3.5 million euros in park renovations

The Ourense City Council has approved a 3.5 million euro investment to renovate 36 parks and gardens across the city and its rural perimeter. The project will be divided into six lots, with individual contract values ranging from approximately 342,238 euros to 912,103 euros.

The initiative aims to modernize public spaces that have become obsolete, with some areas exceeding twenty years of age. Planned improvements include the renovation of pavements, gardens, and green zones, as well as the installation or replacement of children's playgrounds, benches, tables, lighting, and irrigation systems. The project also focuses on improving accessibility, inclusivity, and ensuring all spaces comply with current regulations.
