Ourém municipality delivers storm relief appliances to local families

The Municipality of Ourém held a ceremony to deliver essential household appliances to 16 families affected by Storm Kristin. The aid, which included 14 washing machines, convection ovens, and electric coffee makers, was provided to help families recover basic goods lost during the storm on January 28.

The donation was made possible through a solidarity campaign organized by the Bairrada Cultural and Humanitarian Association in Luxembourg. The initiative was facilitated by Rogério Oliveira, president of the association, who coordinated with businessman Miguel Manaia, who donated the appliances.

Luís Miguel Albuquerque, President of the Ourém Municipal Chamber, expressed gratitude for the generosity of the donors and the work of the association, noting that the wave of solidarity following the storm has been a significant positive outcome of the disaster.
