Ouro Preto featured in TV Russia journalistic production

Journalist, writer, and documentarian Sergey Brilev visited the historic city of Ouro Preto as part of an international journalistic production for TV Russia. The production aims to explore various cultural, social, and political aspects of Brazil.

During the visit, Brilev’s team interviewed Mayor Angelo Oswaldo at Casa de Gonzaga. The mayor discussed Ouro Preto’s historical significance in the construction of Brazilian society, noting that gold exploration facilitated the occupation of the Brazilian interior. The crew also visited several historical sites, including the Mina de Jeje, the São Francisco Church, the Inconfidência Museum, and the Boulieu Museum to document the region's colonial history and manual gold mining practices.
