Ouro Preto to host NASA Space Apps Challenge for the first time

Ouro Preto will host the NASA Space Apps Challenge for the first time on November 14 and 15. The international collaborative innovation event will take place at the Francisca Mina Innovation Hub at IFMG Ouro Preto.

During the 48-hour competition, participants will work to develop solutions for 14 specific challenges presented by NASA and its partner space agencies. The event is multidisciplinary and does not require specialized training in programming, science, or technology; it welcomes individuals from fields such as design, communication, education, arts, research, and business.

Participants can work individually or in teams of up to six members. Projects developed during the event have the potential to advance to a global evaluation stage. The program includes activities such as a ‘Night at the Museum’ at the Museu da Inconfidência and project presentations scheduled for Saturday afternoon.
