Oğuzeli official calls for permanent teacher appointments

Local official Şimşek has called for a permanent solution to teacher shortages in Oğuzeli, criticizing the reliance on temporary paid teaching positions for the 2026-2027 academic year. While acknowledging the hard work of temporary teachers, Şimşek argued that the Ministry of National Education must identify specific subject gaps and make necessary permanent staff appointments.

Highlighting the impact on approximately 8,685 students in the district, Şimşek emphasized that educational opportunities in Oğuzeli should be equal to those in Gaziantep or other major Turkish cities. He noted that students preparing for national exams like LGS and YKS require teacher continuity to ensure fair competition and equal access to resources.
