Overseas Koreans and local governments host export consultation meetings in Korea

The Overseas Koreans Agency, in collaboration with Gangwon State and Daejeon Metropolitan City, is hosting the ‘World Hansang Export Consultation Meeting’ on October 27–28 in Wonju and Daejeon. The event aims to expand overseas market access for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the food, beauty, IT, and bio sectors.

The consultation features approximately 160 local companies and 160 buyers, including 20 members of the Overseas Koreans Business Advisory Group (OK-Biz). These advisors leverage their global networks and local market expertise to facilitate one-on-one customized meetings and identify new trading partners.

In Gangwon State, the event includes 83 local export companies meeting with 97 buyers from 35 different countries. This fourth annual session focuses on matching high-potential buyers with local products in sectors such as medical devices and food, supplemented by live broadcasts from overseas influencers to promote regional goods.
