Overwatch and Hyphenate secure funding for AI-driven enterprise solutions

New York-based startup Overwatch has raised $15 million to combat AI-enhanced cybercrime. The company utilizes an open-source intelligence (OSINT) and threat intelligence platform that employs AI agents to aggregate data from the dark web, social media, and news outlets. Targeting banks and fintech companies, the platform aims to provide real-time alerts to security teams. Early performance claims from the company suggest that customers can resolve six times as many critical threats and identify emerging threats three days earlier than previous methods.

In a separate development, Hyphenate (formerly Maximor) has secured $45 million in Series A funding to advance its autonomous finance platform. Led by Nexus Venture Partners, the round brings the startup’s total funding to $54 million. Hyphenate uses self-learning AI agents designed to automate complex financial operations, including general ledger accounting, treasury management, and financial reporting. The technology integrates with existing enterprise resource planning and banking systems to mitigate risks associated with AI hallucinations in highly regulated financial environments.
