OVHcloud to raise server prices due to AI-driven hardware costs
OVHcloud has announced significant price increases for its bare-metal servers and public cloud services, driven by rising costs for RAM and storage components. The company attributes this trend to the high global demand for hardware required to support artificial intelligence.
The price adjustments will vary by product line and hardware generation. While entry-level series such as Kimsufi, So You Start, and Rise will remain unchanged, newer server generations will see substantial increases. For the 2024 server generation, the average increase is 28%, while the 2026 generation is expected to rise by an average of 51%, with some models in the Game series increasing by up to 87%.
New orders for certain server configurations will reflect these adjusted rates starting September 1, 2026. For existing customers, price changes for RAM and disk options have been in effect since July, and adjustments for contract renewals on specific hardware models (Advance, Game, Scale, and High Grade) will take effect on October 1, 2026. Current fixed-term contracts will remain unaffected until their expiration.
