Oviedo PSOE proposes historical restoration and Camino Primitivo maintenance

The PSOE municipal group in Oviedo has proposed several initiatives to preserve the city's historical and tourist heritage. One proposal seeks to recover the history of the Pista Filandesa by restoring remnants of an old water pipeline and a former mining train route. The group suggests installing informative panels using QR codes and potentially using artificial intelligence to recreate historical scenes of the area's iron mining and water transport history.

Additionally, the socialist group is calling on the Oviedo City Council to implement an annual maintenance plan for the Camino Primitivo as it passes through the municipality. Spokesperson Carlos Fernández Llaneza criticized the current administration for focusing on the promotion of the 'Oviedo, origin of the Camino' brand without providing the necessary physical repairs and upkeep for the route. He specifically highlighted the need for urgent repairs on the section between the exit of Oviedo and Puente Gallegos.
