Indian mixed‑martial‑arts fighter Owais Yaqoob secured a first‑round technical knockout over Bulgaria’s Delyan Georgiev at BRAVE CF 107 in Burgas on August 1. The win made Yaqoob the first competitor from Jammu and Kashmir to claim victory under the BRAVE Combat Federation banner and strengthened his bid for a future UFC contract.

BRAVE CF Hall of Famer Carlos “The Roaring Lion” Kremer praised the 28‑year‑old, noting his aggressive striking, disciplined wrestling and growing fan base of over one million Instagram followers. Kremer highlighted Yaqoob’s training under Khabib Nurmagomedov and his recent call‑out of the division’s lightweight champion, signalling ambitions beyond the current bout. Yaqoob also runs the Lion’s Den Martial Arts Academy in Pulwama, which has trained more than 200 local youths.
