Jake Darlison contributed two goals and three assists, while Jack MacAlpine completed a hat‑trick.

Later, at the Dave Andreychuk Arena, the Hamilton Bengals overwhelmed the NorthStars 14‑5. Zach Terry opened the scoring and Hamilton built a 9‑4 lead by halftime. Armitage posted a hat‑trick and Hamilton added goals in the third period to secure the victory.
