Owen Sound NorthStars Suffer Double Defeats in Ontario Lacrosse

The Owen Sound NorthStars endured two heavy losses in the Ontario lacrosse postseason. In the first game, the Peterborough Lakers defeated Owen Sound 14-2 at the Memorial Centre in Peterborough, Ontario. The Lakers opened quickly, scoring seven goals in the opening period and tallying a balanced attack that featured Ryan Lanchbury with four goals and three assists, Brad McCulley’s hat‑trick and Daniel Clark’s three goals. Goaltender Deacan Knott stopped 37 of 39 shots.

Later, the Brooklin Merchants routed the NorthStars 14-5 at the Iroquois Park Sports Centre in Whitby. Landen Sinfield led the Merchants with six goals, while Ryan Langille added a hat‑trick and Carson Christie contributed two goals. The Merchants outshot Owen Sound 45‑22 and clinched a 1‑1 series tie in the semifinals.
