Owens Corning shares surge amid rumored Carlisle takeover bid
Owens Corning (OC) stock jumped almost 11% during a four‑day trading week after The Wall Street Journal reported that industry peer Carlisle Companies had made an unsolicited takeover approach valued at well over $10 billion. The report said Carlisle’s offer included cash and stock, but Owens Corning has not confirmed any discussions.
Separately, several institutional investors increased their stakes in Owens Corning during the first quarter, with Lee Danner & Bass, QRG Capital Management, HB Wealth Management, Moran Wealth Management, Altus Wealth Group and Root Financial Partners all adding shares. Institutional ownership now totals about 88% of the company’s shares.
