Oxford Street Development Corporation seeks community planning panel
The Oxford Street Development Corporation (OSDC) is recruiting approximately 20 members for a new community place-shaping panel. The panel is designed to provide input on land development and the emerging local planning framework within the OSDC's jurisdiction, which includes areas such as Fitzrovia, Marylebone, Mayfair, Soho, St Giles, and parts of Bloomsbury, Holborn, and Covent Garden.
Recruitment is open to residents, employers, students, and regular visitors aged 16 and older, with a particular focus on individuals who lack existing influence in the area. The panel will be chaired by an independent community engagement professional, while project management consultancy Frame Projects will manage recruitment and report summarizing feedback. Participants will attend monthly two-hour Wednesday evening meetings.
In related local activity, Camden Council has registered 18 planning applications in the Bloomsbury ward for August 2026, including various retail and residential modifications. The OSDC has also validated one application within the Bloomsbury area.
