Oxford United to host Stockport County in League One clash

Oxford United will host Stockport County at the Kassam Stadium this Tuesday in a midweek League One fixture. The match, which was rescheduled from October 3 due to international call-ups, features two teams currently on six-game unbeaten runs.

Stockport County sits in second place in the league. A victory would move them to 26 points, placing them one point clear of Huddersfield Town. Oxford United currently occupies seventh place; a win would bring them to 22 points, placing them just one point behind the visitors.

Oxford United, led by head coach Aaron Ramsey, has shown strong form at home, remaining unbeaten at the Kassam Stadium this season with two wins and three draws. However, the team has faced challenges with clinical finishing in recent matches. Stockport County, managed by Jimmy McNulty, has also been performing well on the road, losing only once in their away fixtures this season.
