Oxide Computer raises $445 million to expand data center rack production
Oxide Computer Company has raised $445 million in a Series D funding round to expand manufacturing, secure components, and meet a backlog of orders that exceeds its current production capacity. The round was led by Eclipse, with participation from existing investors including US Innovative Technology Fund, Riot Ventures, and Jane Street. New investors include AMD Ventures and Atreides Management.
The company reported that its manufacturing capacity increased 20-fold during the 12 months ending October 9, 2026, yet demand continues to outstrip supply. Oxide also noted that ordinary operations generated taxable income in spring 2026, marking an earlier-than-expected move into profitability.
Oxide specializes in the Cloud Computer, an integrated rack-scale system that combines computing, storage, and networking hardware with open-source software. The hardware architecture features 24 modules, or sleds, each hosting an AMD processor with up to 144 cores. The system utilizes a custom Oxide Server Processor to manage temperatures, power flow, and firmware updates, while custom routing protocols and data redundancy mechanisms are used to ensure reliability and network stability.
