Oxley Police investigate fatal single-vehicle crash in Winton

A man in his 20s died following a single-vehicle crash on Old Winton Road in Winton around 5:30 am on Thursday. The vehicle collided with a tree while the driver was reportedly traveling to work.

Oxley Police Superintendent David Cooper expressed concern regarding the frequency of fatalities involving young drivers in the region. He stated that investigations are ongoing to determine how the vehicle left the road. In response to the incident, Cooper is working with the Traffic and Highway Patrol Command to increase police visibility and examine contributing factors to road accidents.
