Oxxo adds 180 stores to Morelia's Punto Naranja women's safety network

The Oxxo convenience‑store chain will incorporate more than 180 of its outlets into the municipal Punto Naranja program in Morelia, Michoacán. The expansion raises the total number of designated safety points in the city to over 670, offering venues where women, girls and young people at risk can receive assistance and referral services.

The inauguration was led by Mayor Alfonso Martínez Alcázar, who highlighted the need for collaboration between citizens and government to improve security. Municipal secretaries, representatives of the women's department, and the local police were also present, emphasizing the long‑standing partnership between the police and Oxxo in supporting the initiative.
