OXXO GAS receives international innovation award for Chihuahua travel center

The Punto Travel Center, a secure stop located in Majalca, Chihuahua, has been named ‘Convenience Store of the Year’ for Latin America by the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS). The award was presented during the NACS Show in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Developed by OXXO GAS and OXXO in collaboration with Servicios Integrales Punto Travel Center, the facility is designed to improve safety, comfort, and rest conditions for long-haul transport operators. The complex includes an OXXO GAS service station, an OXXO convenience store, and various amenities such as Doña Tota restaurants, Mecánica Tek, and CAFFENIO, all part of FEMSA.

Recognized by Mexico’s Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) as a secure stop with integral services, the center also features green areas, rest zones, and secure lodging. The project aims to set new industry standards for the logistics and transport sectors by providing specialized infrastructure for those moving goods across the country.
