Oxygen Forensics CEO Lee Reiber arrested in alleged Russian infiltration scheme
Lee Reiber, the CEO of Oxygen Forensics, has been arrested in Idaho following allegations of a conspiracy to conceal the company’s Russian ownership from U.S. government agencies.
Federal prosecutors allege that Reiber acted as a frontman to hide the company’s ties to Russian nationals, including Oleg Sergeyevich Davydov, to bypass U.S. sanctions. Through this alleged deception, Oxygen Forensics—a Virginia-based firm—secured over $2 million in federal contracts, providing decryption and data extraction software to agencies including the U.S. Secret Service.
The U.S. Secret Service confirmed it previously utilized the company’s software but “immediately discontinued” its use in February after identifying security risks. While Davydov has been charged, other individuals, including Oleg Fedorov and Galina Rabotenko, reportedly remain at large.
