OYAK Çimento joins UN Global Compact to advance sustainability
OYAK Çimento, a leading company in the Turkish cement and concrete sector, has officially become a signatory to the United Nations Global Compact. This move aligns the company with international standards regarding human rights, labor standards, environmental protection, and anti-corruption.
Under its “Green is the New Gold” motto, the company is pursuing a 2050 Net Zero target approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). In 2025, OYAK Çimento invested 3.49 billion TL in environmental and low-carbon projects, with 85.6% of that capital directed toward renewable energy. This includes the Beypazarı GES project, which was commissioned in April 2026.
Additionally, the company maintains a significant role in the industry's green transition, accounting for approximately 30% of the total alternative fuel usage within the cement sector.
