Oyo Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas halts alcohol sales
Oyo Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas suspended alcohol sales starting at 9 a.m. on Friday, October 23. This marks the second time in a 12-month period that the off-Strip property has been unable to serve alcohol.
The casino has not provided an official reason for the shutdown and has not responded to media inquiries. Various unconfirmed reports have circulated regarding the cause, including an insurance lapse, tax issues, or licensing problems.
This follows a previous 10-day suspension of alcohol sales in October 2025, which occurred after Oyo ended its management agreement with Highgate. That split was reportedly linked to Highgate’s handling of a January 2025 cyberattack. Fifth Street Gaming is reportedly expected to replace Paragon Gaming as the casino operator, pending regulatory approval.
