Oyo Rep. Olajide Gives N18.5m to Christian and Muslim Groups
Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide, a federal lawmaker from Oyo State, donated a total of 18.5 million naira to faith‑based organisations – 10 million naira for the expansion of a central mosque in Bodija market, 3.5 million naira for land acquisition by the Ifedapo Muslim community, and 5 million naira to the Christ Power Evangelical Mission. Olajide said the funding was meant to support “our diversity” and promote responsible citizenship.
In a separate political gesture, Hon. Waheed Akintayo, a member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, publicly wished Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) senatorial candidate for Oyo Central, a happy birthday. Akintayo highlighted Ajadi’s support for a community police station project in Oluyole, describing him as a “visionary leader” committed to public safety and grassroots development.
