Oyo State Circular Road project to drive growth in six LGAs

Oyo State Acting Governor Adebayo Lawal has confirmed that the ongoing Senator Rashidi Ladoja Circular Road project is intended to drive economic growth across six local government areas in the Ibadan metropolis. The project spans Oluyole, Ido, Egbeda, Ona-Ara, Lagelu, and Akinyele.

During an inspection of Phase 2 of the 110-kilometre road, Lawal reported that contractors have completed and asphalted approximately 32 kilometres of dual carriageway, including the installation of streetlights and toll gates. He stated the administration aims to complete the project before its term ends.

Addressing concerns regarding land acquisition, Lawal clarified that the initiative is designed for infrastructure elevation rather than resident displacement. He assured property owners that the state has finalized arrangements to disburse compensation to all duly registered owners once final cost collations are completed.
