Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde Reassigns Women Affairs Commissioner in Cabinet Shuffle

Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde approved a minor cabinet reshuffle effective July 1, 2026. He relieved Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Inclusion Toyin Balogun and redeployed Faosafat Sanni to head the ministry. The change was announced in a statement by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olarenwaju (also reported as Sulaimon Olanrewaju). Makinde praised Balogun’s service and urged the new appointee to commit to the role.

The reshuffle also included several other appointments, such as appointing Ifeoluwa Akande as Chairman of the Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport Upgrade Committee and naming other officials to advisory and part‑time positions within the state government.
