Oyo State police arrest robbery and kidnapping suspects

The Oyo State Police Command has conducted several operations resulting in the arrest of suspects linked to violent crimes, including armed robbery, abduction, and kidnapping threats.

In one incident, a serving member of the Nigerian Air Force was apprehended in Ibadan for alleged armed robbery and abduction. Police recovered a blue Toyota Camry believed to be connected to the crime. Additionally, three individuals suspected of being members or associates of a kidnapping syndicate were arrested following intelligence reports.

In a separate case, police arrested two men, Hantsi Abdullahi and Hantsi Liman, in connection with a ₦3 million kidnap-and-kill threat. The suspects allegedly targeted a resident of Seni Salla Village, Saki, after making threatening phone calls and demanding payment. An investigative lead was established after the victim transferred ₦100,000 into a designated account provided by the callers.
