Nigerian police arrest suspects and seize weapons in Oyo, Lagos and Yobe

Police forces in three Nigerian states announced recent arrests of suspected criminals. In Oyo State, three men were detained after a raid on an apartment in Ibadan's Sabo‑Mokola area, where officers recovered a locally‑made single‑barrel gun and seven cartridges. In Lagos State, two suspects were captured during a patrol in the Odogunyan area, with a cut‑to‑size dane gun and three live cartridges seized. Yobe State police seized 19 cattle from a 28‑year‑old man suspected of livestock theft in Bursari Local Government Area.

Separately, the Ondo State Security Network Agency (Amotekun Corps) rescued two Fulani boys abducted near the Ondo–Edo border, retrieving their cattle after a forest operation. All suspects remain in custody while investigations continue.
