Oytun Erbaş seeks marriage assistance from Mayor Tahmazoğlu

During the 10th Şahinbey Book Days held at the Şahinbey Congress and Art Center, Prof. Dr. Oytun Erbaş engaged in a lighthearted discussion regarding family life and marriage.

Erbaş, noting his single status, jokingly requested assistance from Şahinbey Mayor Mehmet Tahmazoğlu to help him marry, citing the municipality’s existing support programs for newlyweds and newborns. Erbaş humorously remarked, “If he does it, Tahmazoğlu does it,” and joked that having three or four children felt like a national duty.

Mayor Tahmazoğlu responded by noting that Şahinbey is one of the municipalities in Turkey that performs the highest number of marriage ceremonies, offering his support to Erbaş. The event was also attended by Gaziantep Governor Kemal Çeber.
