Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath farewell concert film to be released in December
The concert film and soundtrack for “Ozzy & Black Sabbath: Back to the Beginning” are scheduled for home release on December 11, 2026. The project documents the historic final performance held on July 5, 2025, at Villa Park in Birmingham, England.
The event marked the first time the original Black Sabbath lineup, including Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward, performed together in over 20 years. It also served as the final stage appearance for Ozzy Osbourne, who passed away 17 days after the concert at the age of 76.
The release will be available in multiple formats, including 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, CD, vinyl, and digital. The Blu-ray editions will feature three and a half hours of content, including performances by guest artists such as Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Tool, and Slayer, as well as behind-the-scenes footage and a documentary titled “Sounds of Birmingham.”
A deluxe box set is also planned for release on April 23, 2027, which will include an expanded collection of music, memorabilia, and a bonus disc featuring 35 songs and covers performed by special guests.
