Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath farewell film to release in theaters

The concert film ‘Ozzy & Black Sabbath: Back to the Beginning’ is scheduled for a worldwide limited theatrical release starting October 28. Produced by Mercury Studios and distributed by Trafalgar Releasing, the film documents the historic farewell performance held on July 5, 2025, at Villa Park stadium in Birmingham, England.

The event marked the final appearance of Ozzy Osbourne and a rare reunion of the original Black Sabbath lineup, including Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward, performing together for the first time in over 20 years. The concert took place just 17 days before Osbourne’s death on July 22, 2025.

Directed by Ben Wainwright-Pearce, the film features the full stadium production with Dolby Atmos and 5.1 surround sound. It includes performances from various rock and metal artists such as Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Slayer, and Tool, as well as behind-the-scenes footage and personal reflections from musicians. Global ticket sales are set to begin on September 24.
