Ozzy Osbourne biopic script completed as family seeks director

The screenplay for a biopic about rock legend Ozzy Osbourne has been completed. Jack Osbourne confirmed that the family is currently meeting with directors for the project, which is being developed by Sony Pictures and Polygram Entertainment.

Produced by Jack Osbourne alongside Sharon and Aimee Osbourne, the film will focus on the life of Ozzy Osbourne and his relationship with Sharon. Jack Osbourne stated the creative direction aims to ‘give the fans what they want’ rather than pursuing an experimental or esoteric approach. Shooting is expected to begin in the spring or summer of 2027.

The screenplay was written by Oscar-nominated writer Lee Hall. The film is expected to feature music from Osbourne's solo career and his time as the frontman for Black Sabbath.
