Jack Osbourne has confirmed that the script for a biographical film about his father, the late heavy metal icon Ozzy Osbourne, is complete. The production, involving Sony Pictures and Polygram Entertainment, is currently in the process of seeking a director.

Jack Osbourne stated that the family has already held discussions with a specific actor to portray the Black Sabbath frontman, though the identity remains confidential. The film is intended to focus on Ozzy’s extraordinary life and the long-standing relationship between him and his wife, Sharon Osbourne.

Emphasizing a fan-centric approach, Jack noted that the production aims to avoid an “artsy, esoteric” style, opting instead to deliver a narrative that resonates with the artist's dedicated following. The screenplay was written by Oscar nominee Lee Hall. While a specific release date has not been finalized, some reports suggest a potential window around 2027 or 2028.
