Ozzy Trapilo returns to full practice with Chicago Bears

Chicago Bears offensive tackle Ozzy Trapilo has returned to full practice following a significant injury recovery. After rupturing his Achilles tendon during the Divisional Round, Trapilo was initially expected to miss much of the 2026 season.

Trapilo has surpassed previous recovery timelines and was not listed on the team’s Thursday injury report. While he has been inactive for the first two games of the season, he is now participating in padded practices and team drills. Head coach Ben Johnson noted that the team is evaluating his reps as he regains confidence in putting weight on the leg.

Trapilo’s return provides depth for the Bears' offensive line as he competes for the left tackle position against Braxton Jones and Kiran Amegadjie. His availability remains uncertain for the upcoming Week 3 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles, but his progress marks a significant development for the team's roster.
