Paï Bing-bing denies involvement in political election controversy

Taiwanese entertainer Paï Bing-bing has issued a public clarification following media reports that falsely linked her to political election discussions. The controversy arose from reports suggesting she had commented on the 2026 Taipei mayoral race, specifically regarding potential guests like Chiang Wan-an or Shen Po-yang for her program, ‘Super Bing Bing Show’.

Paï stated that she was contacted by concerned friends regarding the reports and emphasized that she has never conducted interviews regarding political candidates or election stances. She clarified that her show is strictly for musical entertainment and that she has previously maintained that political figures are not suitable guests for the program.

During a live stream, she used a blue and green pillow to humorously demonstrate her political neutrality, asserting that she does not participate in election campaigning even for personal friends. She noted that the media outlet in question has since removed the disputed report, but she felt the need to speak out to prevent further misunderstanding and to protect her reputation as an artist.
