Paşa Yaylası Oteli falls into ruin in Aydın

The Paşa Yaylası Oteli in Aydın, Turkey, has fallen into a state of ruin due to years of neglect and lack of maintenance. Originally constructed between 1989 and 1991 by the late Governor Recep Yazıcıoğlu, the hotel was intended to serve as a key investment to boost plateau tourism in the region.

Located at an altitude of approximately 1,200 meters, the Paşa Yaylası area remains a popular destination for visitors seeking fresh air and scenic views during the summer months. However, the hotel itself has become a symbol of decay. While the exterior walls and some structural elements remain standing, the interior has suffered significant damage. Reports indicate that windows and doors have been destroyed, electrical cables have been stripped, and various fixtures have been stolen.

The deterioration of the building has resurfaced discussions regarding the fate of Yazıcıoğlu’s local projects following the anniversary of his death. Local residents have expressed a desire for the hotel to be restored, noting that its reopening could provide significant economic and social revitalization to the plateau tourism sector.
