Pabitra Margherita to visit Vietnam, Laos, and Palau

India's Minister of State for External Affairs, Pabitra Margherita, is scheduled to conduct an official three-nation visit to Vietnam, Laos, and Palau to strengthen ties within the Indo-Pacific region.

In Vietnam on August 26-27, Margherita will meet with senior government leaders to review the progress of the bilateral relationship, which was recently elevated to an Enhanced Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. Following this, he will visit Laos from August 28-29 to commemorate 70 years of diplomatic relations and review ongoing cooperation projects and development partnerships.

The final leg of the trip will take place in Palau from September 1-2, where Margherita will attend the Pacific Islands Forum (PIF) Leaders’ Meeting with Dialogue Partners. This mission is part of India’s Act East Policy and aims to reinforce engagement with ASEAN and the Mekong region.
